As someone who has high standards for fried chicken I think they have some of the best chicken in Augusta. I recommend their dark meat over white meat because I personally prefer juicier cuts. A little pricy for country food. I also wouldn’t eat inside cuz the location is kind of sketchy and there was no one inside when I ordered. Overall a solid place for country food, but I’m not gonna be a frequent visitor because the value isn’t that great, and it’s kind of far.

I have been in living in Georgia for nine months and I am 39 years old and besides my mom cooking and my brother this have been the best soul food I’ve tasted in years. the atmosphere was great and Everybody was welcoming. I took my daughter there after graduation and the love that she received from them was unforgettable. The customer Service is definitely a five star. They were so patient because it was a lot of of us and they got the order correct .the food was a A+. My mom is a chef and she does not eat everybody cooking but she ordered two plates. I don’t remember that the young lady name with the red hair, but I’ll never forget her southern hospitality at his finest. You guys made my baby girl day thank you and I don’t even eat meat, but I had to try their food which was absolutely delicious

I was in town visiting family for the weekend and Googled soul food near me and Country Shack popped up. It did NOT disappoint! The food was excellent with large servings. The staff was personable and friendly. Definitely recommend

This location is awesome for good, flavorful, and deliciously cooked soul food/country cooking. The staff are immensely kind and accommodating. They change their menu every day to decrease the monotony of always having the same thing on the menu when you arrive. Even the restrooms are clean. The owner is well-known to our family and take great pride in ensuring that her customers have a most pleasant experience. We dined in today to support her business. The family thoroughly enjoyed their food and they give you plenty. We even were able to take food home. They have dine-in and take-out options. They are all invested in ensuring you have a pleasant experience and are satisfied. They serve their customers from the heart, which is why we observed people of various backgrounds driving up and ordering food nearly every 15-20 minutes. They are very popular and not only is the food well-seasoned but the experience in its entirety is as well. We highly recommend The Country Shack for good, down-home food for the soul from the heart.

I’ve been looking at their menu all week and finally decided to give it a try. The food is phenomenal! I got the 3 piece dark meal with mac&cheese and rice with blackeyed peas. It also came with a ho cake. The chicken was seasoned well, and cooked to perfection! The mac & cheese was different from how I normally like it, but it was good also! The ho cake though….. i don’t typically like sweet cornbreads, but this was amazing! Everything was hot and fresh. The workers are friendly and energetic. They had a great vibe and seemed happy to be there. The building itself is old and could use a little more cleaning, but that won’t keep me away. This is the best soul food I have had in a while, I will be back!

I recently visited The Country Shack, and it was fantastic! The soul food was amazingly delicious, bringing back memories of home-cooked meals. Each dish was packed with flavor, and the portions were generous. The homestyle country vibe made me feel right at home, and the customer service was top-notch—everyone was friendly and attentive. Plus, the prices are incredibly reasonable! If you're craving comfort food that won’t break the bank, I highly recommend checking this place out. I can’t wait to return!

I liked this place alot. We were greeted professionally and given the menu information as first time visitors without asking. I had the Neckbones and rice (really good). The Mac and cheese (really good) and collard greens (really good). We also ordered the strawberry crunch cake (really good). The only negatives are the hit temperature while sitting in the restaurant and the not so gentle parking spots. My wife and I will be returning.

I moved here from MS about a month ago and I’ve been wanting some good soul food. I just came here to say: THIS IS WHAT YOU’RE LOOKING FOR! The greens are flavorful and tenderoni-cooked to perfection!! The fried chicken has just the right outer crunch and the breast was still juicy!! The mac-n-cheese is cheesy goodness, and they were cooking fresh flap jacks when I walked in so you know they HITTIN!!! This cookie pudding was loaded with wafers, just how I like it!!! And last but most certainly not least, I need a whole gallon of this passion fruit lemonade!!! The service was GREAT, they moved the line fast and even helped me make a decision on what meat I wanted!! I’ll definitely be back soon!
